Upcoming course: Microwave Components and Antennas (2015)
8 Jul 2015 - 15:45
The final course of our 2015 Radar Masters programme is being presented at the University of Cape Town from 13 to 17 July 2015.
Focusing on Microwave Components and Antennas (click on the title to read more about the course, or download the PDF of the course handout), it presents the technology underlying the implementation of the RF and microwave parts of radar systems and microwave radio systems. Although digital components and signal processing are very important for modern systems, high performance RF and microwave components and antennas are key to overall system implementation.
Upon completion of this course student will be conversant in the important parameters of antenna systems. They will have a strong appreciation of the important properties of antennas and will be familiar with antenna systems, whether single elements or array configurations, implemented in many radar and EW systems.
