8 Apr 2016 - 11:15

The Robert Bosch Stiftung is making available travel grants to support African researchers (or exceptionally research administrators) with their travel, registration and accommodation costs to attend the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) 2016 in Manchester (23-27 July 2016).

Grantees will be reimbursed after ESOF 2016 with a lump sum of € 1600. Depending on travel arrangements, this amount might not cover the total costs incurred. The grant aims to cover:

  • Travel costs to Manchester
  • Accommodation
  • Registration fee to ESOF 2016
  • Visa

NB: The closing date for applications is 20 April 2016.

ESOF, founded in 2004 by EuroScience, the non-profit grassroots organization of researchers in Europe, is the biennial pan-European meeting dedicated to research and innovation. At ESOF meetings, leading scientists, researchers, young researchers, business people, entrepreneurs and innovators, policy makers, science and technology communicators and the general public from all over Europe discuss new discoveries and debate the direction that research is taking in the sciences, humanities and social sciences.

At the link below, the eligibility criteria, the application procedure and the selection process are explained, as well as the obligations of the grantees:
