“The Meraka Institute’s Remote Sensing Research Unit conducts remote sensing research for improved understanding, management, and monitoring of natural resources, the environment and hazards. Current efforts are focussed on expanding the capability in SAR technologies for deformation hazard assessment.
This position is based in Pretoria or Stellenbosch, at the CSIR Meraka Institute, Earth Observation Science and Information Technology (EOS IT) competence area (see website), specifically within the Remote Sensing Research Unit. This dynamic group comprises electronic engineers, computer scientists and environmental remote- sensing specialists.
