Microwave Components and Antennas: Class photograph 2015

17 Jul 2015 - 14:30

Today was the last day of our final course of 2015.

Co-presented by Prof Barry Downing and Assoc Prof Daniel O’Hagan of the University of Cape Town, and titled Microwave Components and Antennas, the course ran from 13 to 17 July 2015.

It presented the technology underlying the implementation of the RF and microwave parts of radar systems and microwave radio systems. Although digital components and signal processing are very important for modern systems, high performance RF and microwave components and antennas are key to overall system implementation.

The next big event on the radar and remote sensing calendar is the IEEE Radar Conference 2015, which will be taking place in Sandton, Johannesburg from 27 to 30 October 2015. Registration for the conference has opened on 13 July, and papers are currently under review, with authors due to be notified by 7 August 2015. The provisional tutorial schedule has been made available now – find out more here.
