Mathematics for Radar and Electronic Protection: Class Photograph 2015

27 Mar 2015 - 11:45

Today was the last day of our third course of 2015.

Offered by Dr Pieter Uys from the University of Cape Town, it focused on providing a useful mathematical toolkit to aspiring radar and electronic defence engineers. Over thirty students attended this course, which is one of the core courses of the Radar Masters programme.

For more information, you can download the course handout here.

As part of their course, students attended a fascinating tour of Reteuch Radar Systems outside Stellenbosch. The company offers innovative radar and radar-related solutions for the Defence Force, parastatals and the industrial sector.

The fourth course on our calendar, from 13 to 17 April 2015, an Introduction to Electronic Defence/Warfare, sees Ferdie Potgieter and Jacobus Vlok of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in Pretoria returning to Cape Town to present this course.
